On behalf of the members of Iota Beta Sigma – the Silicon Valley Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., it is with great pleasure to welcome you to our online home!
Iota Beta Sigma Chapter was chartered January 28, 2000 to serve the Silicon Valley and greater San Francisco Bay Area including Alameda, Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Our sorority’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for women and their families here in our local communities, as well in the U.S. and globally through community service.
As our illustrious organization celebrated (and will continue to celebrate!) our 100th Centennial Celebration, Iota Beta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. welcomes Sorors, Affiliates, friends, family and community partners to support and join us to work to create lasting and impactful service that will benefit all.
Sigma Spotlight
SiliconValleySGRho is shining a light on people in our communities doing "greater service". The chapter bestowed its first “Sigma Spotlight Award” to Pamela Ratliff, senior community partnership manager at Stanford Cancer Institute.
Ms. Ratliff is well-known for producing the annual “Breast Cancer and African Americans Conference", a free, day-long health and wellness event that provides information and education for women and men in the Bay Area and beyond. She has been a chapter community partner and guest speaker for breast cancer awareness events for both Iota Beta Sigma and Sigma Omicron Chapter at California State University, East Bay.
